Vehicles are my life. I’ve always been passionate about most things automotive related, from restorations to motorsports I enjoy the precision and attention to detail which goes into each engine assembly and vehicle I build.
All my life I’ve been interested in mechanical things, spending countless hours in the shop building cars just for fun. My first job when I was thirteen was re-building engines for a local dirt track race team and when they closed their doors I was devastated. I began working in retail auto parts sales at each of the major retailers over a span of about eight years after that but it felt like a dead end, so, I decided to become an electrician. I completed my four year apprenticeship and spent six years as a journeyman in Texas and Oklahoma, USA.
Despite having a successful career in the electrical trade my real love and passion still remained in motorsports and building vehicles so, at the recommendation of Jessi Combs I left the trade to attend Wyotech in Laramie Wyoming and turn my passion into my new career…sort of.
I graduated in the top of my class at Wyotech with a 4.0 overall GPA just a few years after my mentor Jessi; my major was in Motorsports Fabrication with High Performance Engines, and a minor in Automotive Technology. The plan was to work for an engine shop or motorsports team after I graduated but, as fate would have it, I was offered a position with a company to go to Iraq and thus began my mechanical career as a government contractor.
Fast forward twelve years and I’ve worked all around the globe on virtually every type of vehicle and equipment imaginable; from aerospace equipment to lawn mowers and trimmers I’ve worked on it all and learned something from each experience which I could apply to future jobs and projects.
I’m proud of my accomplishments as a government contractor during the past twelve years but ultimately, my goal is to start my own shop doing resto-mods on British and European sports cars. I believe the best method for achieving that dream will be to work for a team or a shop where I can continue to grow and learn the latest techniques to building race winning engines and vehicles.
The demanding, highly-specialized world of motorsports requires quality, dedication, and ambition; I am focused on my goal and I’ve built this website in an effort to express my enthusiasm and show some of the projects I built with little to no resources available to me over the last decade. These little projects were done after hours in the parking lot, or workshop as was the case on Ascension Island and continued to fuel my appetite for building and creating awesome vehicles.
Despite all the global travel and diverse jobs over the last decade, my love for motorsports and my burning desire to work in the world of racing and high-performance vehicles has never ceased. Now is the time to fulfil a dream which began when I was very young and continues to this day; to build some of the best engines and vehicles in the world. I have the ambition; I have the commitment and the support of my partner, now I just need the opportunity.
